Our 2026 Spring Recital is scheduled for Sunday, May 17th at 4:00! I believe I misspoke to some who asked - my apologies.

Did you guys take some practice juice this week or something?! Everyone has made such spectacular progress this week. 🙌

Happy New Year, students! See you for your first lesson back this week for our Spring Semester.

Sometimes I'll be practicing and it feels like nothing is happening, then I'll come back the next day and be so grateful I laid a solid foundation for my next step. Just keep showing up! You know how proud I am of you.

Something I wished my students believed is I can tell when they don't practice. And telling me they did when they didn't reinforces their assumption that their progress is all I care about. No! I want to foster their musicianship, and sometimes that means being compassionate that they did not get to practice as much as they wanted to that week. Fibbing about it to make me feel good is actually defeating the purpose. It helps me be a better teacher for you if I know you've had a busy/rough week, so I can adjust my expectations and meet you where you are - because THAT'S my job. Not making perfect music machines.
