She talks about her vast body of research, which covers topics from baseball cards and credit cards to wages in the U.S. Army. Dunn discusses her research emphasis on labor market economics, where she’s employed many unconventional methodologies like in-person interviews to provide more comprehensive data and conclusions.

Congrats to Assistant Professor Kym McDaniel for receiving several awards for her films! The awards include a Juror Honorable Mention at the Milwaukee Underground Film Festival, Best of Theme at the West Virginia Short Film Festival, and an award for her presentation on feminist childhood media at the Popular Culture Conference. McDaniel has three films currently on the film festival circuit, with spring screenings at Images Festival Toronto, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, Big Muddy Film Festival, Athens International Film + Video Festival, and Adriatikino, among others.

Assistant Professor Will Nickley and Associate Professor Amanda Huynh discuss their design students' capstone projects and the collaboration with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Huynh said that a major benefit of the program is that many of the projects could be implemented pretty quickly, which would support the parks department as well as Ohioans.

More than 100 undergraduate students have worked as interns at Urban Arts Space and “externs” with area arts organizations since 2023 through a community engagement initiative supported by a $2M Mellon Foundation grant.
