It is a blessing to LEARN from AMAZING young people as they willingly accept lessons taught concerning their

INNNNNCREDIBLE evening with the MOST INTELLIGENT & INSPIRING young people in the
Columbus Metropolitan Area.
What an UNBELIEVABLE way to BEGIN a new month.
Young REBELS were birthed tonight!

NEVER stop growing and expanding your territory…despite those who promote settling or misinterpret your maturation.

Preservation!

Each day that we are besieged with tragedy and turmoil regarding OUR young people, I am pledging to COUNTER the MYTH that OUR young people are destined for death or inevitable destruction.

My plan as much as I am able, is to offer words of encouragement, resources, opportunities and possible solutions, to what seems to be
at times…simply OVERWHELMING!

I am asking that those of you who are interested…simply share the information when you deem it relevant or appropriate with those you are in touch with daily. Or feel free to respond back… to dialogue.

It is my personal belief and philosophy that the devastating plague that seems to have a certain segment of our culture living in such
FEAR… (F alse E vidence A PPEARING R eal; simply meaning that despite the reports there are FAR MORE young people doing right than wrong- FACT)
… IS NOT SIMPLY “troubled kids”, “hands off parents”, “lazy teachers” and a
“disinterested community"...

All of these elements do have relevance and have been offered up as rationales, as well as excuses for acts that WILL CONTINUE to take place if WE cannot decide/AGREE that… DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM IS NOT is the EASY part!

The CONCENTRATON MUST move to…SOLUTIONS…from solutions to ACTION… from action to IMPLEMENTATION… and from implementation to INHERENT LIFESTYLE!!

Much of why WE are, where WE are as COMMUNITY/CULTURE…is because when we absorb/consider various anecdotes like the one I have just described above it becomes in reality that dirty, four-letter word…W-O-R-K! BREAKING NEWS…WORK and FERVENT PRAYER is the only option!

Let It Rip: How Do We Stop the Violence? The escalating violence in Detroit has led to more senseless deaths. A nine-month-old boy and a twelve-year-old girl were both killed in less than a month. Right now, the question remains, how do we stop the violence?

Having a plan for your life that you never implement; Possessing great potential but never showcasing it; and Settling for being mediocre when you are programmed for GREATNESS…IS a waste of your innate gifts and talents. Push reset…re-BELIEVE…and GO GET IT!

Just back from the first half of the Rise Sister Rise Program...OUTSTANDING! Kudos to ALL of the INSPIRING women and young women who were IMPACTED by this morning's information and interaction!!
To all my male colleagues/providers...it is greatly IMPORTANT that we pay close attention to the trends, behaviors and obstacles of our young women. KNOW that as they go...so to will OUR young men...and in that order; do not be mistaken.
