🌟 Workin’ 9-2-5 at CPA! 🌟

We kicked off today’s Professional Development Day with a little extra excitement!

💗🎶 Our team was welcomed with a “Cup of Ambition” to get them ready for a day of learning, collaboration, and, of course, workin’ 9-2-5!

But before we got to work, we took time to celebrate EXCELLENCE by announcing our first Employee of the Month for the 2026–2027 school year 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁 Mr. Connor Spohn! 🏆🐾

Connor exemplifies Cougar PRIDE in so many ways. He came prepared to take on a new curriculum and create engaging lessons for his students. He demonstrates respect by setting clear expectations and supporting students in meeting them. He showed integrity by stepping into a new role late in the planning season and immediately taking ownership and initiative. And whether he’s in the classroom or helping with dismissal, Connor is dependable, showing up, stepping in, and getting the job done.

Those qualities and the positive impact he has already made at CPA are exactly what Excellence Is All We Know is all about! 💙🤍

🍎🍏 A Sweet End to the Week! 🍏🍎

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing CPA PTO for surprising and spoiling our staff today with a delicious caramel apple bar! 🍎✨

This yummy treat was the perfect way to end our week with students and prepare us for a day of Professional Development. We are so grateful for all the ways our PTO supports, celebrates, and takes care of our CPA team. 💙🤍

We are incredibly grateful to our families for the tremendous support today. Thank you for digging through those couch cushions, checking the cars, and rallying behind our PTO and our students! Every dollar raised helps our PTO continue providing special experiences, rewards, activities, and opportunities for our Cougars. 🐾

We have the final standings for Coins for Cougars!!! First of all, a humongous thank you for all of your donations and participation! We really switch up positions at the end of the game! The winner of the pizza party is Ms. Adam’s class, with the top spot, and with a total of $310.99 raised today alone, her class also won cookies!! Mr. Ljungren, the High School, Ms. Hepler, Ms. Wanamaker, Miss Miller from first grade, and Mr. D’Agati get to compete at our pep rally Thursday to try to win their way out of punishment!! Great job to everyone!

🪙🐾 COUGARS, WE NEED YOU! Tomorrow is the FINAL DAY of Coins for Cougars! 🐾🪙

We have some catching up to do! 💙 This year’s Coins for Cougars donations are currently not even half of what we raised last year, and we know our Cougar community can come together for one BIG final push!

Our PTO does so much for CPA students throughout the year, and they simply cannot continue providing these extras without the support of our families and community. Coins for Cougars helps fund things our students love, including Blitz prizes, field trips, special activities, the Holiday Shop, and so much more!

📅 THIS WEEK AT CPA! 🐾💙

We have another busy week ahead, Cougars!

🪙 Monday: Coins for Cougars continues! Plus, Middle School Volleyball travels to Genoa Christian at 6:00 PM.

🏐 Tuesday: It’s a volleyball doubleheader at Horizon! Middle School plays at 5:00 PM, followed by High School at 6:00 PM. Come cheer on our Cougars!

🪙 Wednesday: It’s the FINAL DAY for Coins for Cougars! Check those couch cushions, car cup holders, and change jars one last time and help your class finish strong!

📣 Thursday: We’ll celebrate our Coins for Cougars fundraiser with the PTO Pep Rally! Then, High School Volleyball takes on KIPP at 6:00 PM.

🚨 Friday: NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS. CPA staff will be participating in Professional Development Day.

🎉💙 PERFECT SCORE… TIMES TWO! 💙🎉

Today, we are celebrating Estela Lopez, who earned a PERFECT SCORE on her ELA Ohio State Test (OST) for the SECOND consecutive year! 🌟👏

At CPA, we believe exceptional achievement deserves an exceptional celebration! Students in grades K–9 who earn a perfect OST score receive Dress Down for the Entire School Year, while high school students earn an Outside Lunch brought into school.

But when you earn a perfect score two years in a row? You get BOTH! 🎉
Estela has earned year-long dress down AND an outside lunch in recognition of this incredible accomplishment and for her special lunch today, Estela chose Culver’s! 🍔🍟

Congratulations, Estela! Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence are something to celebrate. We are so proud of you!

🇺🇸 Celebrating Constitution Day at CPA! 🎶📜

Our 5th graders put a creative spin on history today during music class! After exploring the musical Hamilton and learning about Alexander Hamilton’s role in shaping the U.S. Constitution, our Cougars became lyricists themselves. 🎤

Students created their own 4-line raps about their “Classroom Constitution,” with each group writing verses inspired by the values that help make their classroom a great place to learn and grow.

History + music + creativity + classroom culture = a pretty amazing Constitution Day lesson! 💙🐾🇺🇸

The current standings are IN… 👀🏆 But there’s still plenty of time to shake things up!

Check those couch cushions, dig through the cup holders in the car, empty out that change jar, and check those random drawers where spare coins always seem to hide. 😂 Every penny, nickel, dime, and quarter can help your Cougar’s class climb the leaderboard!

⚾🍌 From Cougar Country to Banana Ball

You may recognize this umpire! 👀

When he’s not leading our High School team as CPA’s High School Division Chair, Mr. Allmon trades the halls of CPA for the baseball diamond, where he has the incredible opportunity to umpire select games for the Savannah Bananas! 🍌⚾

We love seeing our CPA staff members pursuing their passions and doing some pretty amazing things outside of the classroom. And we have to admit… having a Banana Ball umpire on staff is pretty cool! 😎
