May is ! All month long, we are sharing mental health education, tips, and resources.

Children don’t always have the words to express what they’re feeling and experiencing—but they show us through their behaviors, emotions, and play. That’s why our team of therapists use evidence supported Play Therapy approaches, where youth can safely explore and communicate their experiences in a way that feels less threatening to them. Feelings are expressed in a safe, creative space that makes sharing their thoughts and emotions easier.

Our team of skilled therapists are here to help youth and families build resilience, connection, and hope—because every child deserves to feel seen and supported when sharing hard things.

Strong state and local partnerships make an early difference for our youngest children. 💚

We were grateful to welcome Director Kara Wente, Assistant Director Jeff Van Deusen, Erika Clark Jones, and Cheryl Wyatt to see how Early Childhood Mental Health services are supporting children ages 0–6 in our community—building healthy social-emotional skills and strengthening kindergarten readiness. We value our partnership with the YMCA of Central Ohio in this important work.
