SURJ Ohio State The organization is open to everyone. Showing Up For Racial Justice (SURJ) Ohio State is a student chapter of the national anti-racist organization.

With a mission to mobilize white people in the fight for racial justice, SURJ Ohio State puts the onus of ending white supremacy on the people that benefit from it the most. The organization is open to everyone, from all backgrounds, that is interested. SURJ Ohio State is held accountable by Black students and other people of color, and works collaboratively to bring about racial justice.

To date, our collective’s jail support team has bailed out hundreds of water protectors — the state has grown even more repressive in recent months, charging upwards of $10-25k per person to be bonded out from incarceration for protecting wild rice, water, and future generations.

This Tuesday is another installment of Beyond Conversations - a monthly virtual space hosted by a small group of white anti-racist activist-types trying to do our work to end white supremacy through relationship, education, accountability & action.
