St. Charles Preparatory School Since its first graduating class in 1927, St. The school was founded on 20 acres of land in Bexley in the fall of 1923.
Charles has nurtured the minds and hearts of scholars, priests, entrepreneurs, executive officers, artists, doctors, legal professionals, and community leaders. High school classes were held for two years at Sacred Heart School in Downtown Columbus until September of 1925 when general contractor J. Lang completed the Broad Street building. It was the first in Ohio using steel-reinforced concrete.
