Classes start next week and the momentum is already rolling! Last night’s new‑student orientation brought dozens of new students to campus, where they met our supportive staff, got familiar with each other and campus, and geared up for a strong start.

The Ivy Tech Columbus campus will be operating virtually on August 14, 2026, due to a power outage. This means campus buildings will be closed, but campus offices will operate on a normal schedule, virtually. The Franklin and Shelbyville campuses will operate as scheduled.

✈️ Ivy Tech’s NEW Air Traffic Controller Training Program is ready for take off this fall! This 10-week course will launch you into one of the nation’s highest‑demand careers.

The FAA expects to hire 8,900 new controllers by 2028, and salaries start around $70–80K.

About Ivy Tech's Air Traffic Controller Program:
• 10‑week accelerated classroom + simulator training
• 100+ hours of real‑world tower scenarios
• FAA‑approved curriculum + Control Tower Operator exam prep
• Build experience for the Federal Contract Tower hiring pathway
