This week we worked with Blue Origin to bring students in Washington, D.C. a day of interactive activities focused on aerospace, engineering, and advanced manufacturing! 🚀

Students explored stations built around the real tools, ideas, and problem-solving approaches used in these fields, as well as took home a hands-on science kit to keep the curiosity going at home!

This is just the start of a 10-stop tour across the country! 🌎 This launch marks the beginning of a national effort that will travel across the United States, bringing hands-on workforce experiences directly to students.

We are so grateful to NASA's Glenn Research Center for joining to support the experience, and to the DC Public Schools for welcoming us into MacFarland Middle School. Thank you to Blue Origin for making this program possible. 🧡 Keep an eye out to see where your COSI team goes next!

But all is not lost— Celeste will discover the key to survival!

Rookie season is here! 🏀🐀 Our newest recruits, Artemis & Moonie, have officially started training! 🚀 These sweet sisters are working with our team on the science of slam dunks, one treat at a time.

Artemis has the pink tail dye and is picking everything up incredibly quickly! Moonie has the purple tail dye and is learning at her own pace. 😉 It typically only takes 6-8 weeks to learn, so you'll be able to meet them during your visit soon!

Congratulations to Iddrisu Seidu, Founder of Makerspace Central, on being named one of this year's STEAM Stars! 🌟⚙️🎉

After spending 10 years as an aerospace engineer working on cutting-edge research and development projects, Iddrisu turned his focus to the next generation. He founded Makerspace Central to ensure more kids have access to the kind of hands-on learning that sparks a lifelong love of STEAM. Makerspace Central brings pop-up workshops directly to K–12 students across the greater Columbus region, giving young people, especially those in underserved communities, the chance to build, create, and explore what they're capable of. We are grateful for his commitment to opening doors for the next generation!

Interest in STEM often begins early, but turning that interest into a career requires encouragement, exposure, and ongoing support. Programs like the Platform help students stay connected to those opportunities, building the foundation for long-term success.

We celebrate not only their graduation from the Platform program, but also the curiosity, determination, and hard work that have brought them to this milestone.🌟 We are so honored to have been part of that journey!
