How can our OLBers celebrate Mother's Day? With muffins of course!

The Preschoolers hosted Muffins with Moms last week, to celebrate and honor all of the special and wonderful mothers! Together, they shared a tasty treat and family photo before school!

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!

OLB hosted the 3rd Annual Swing and Read Awhile, in memory of Sasha Vompe, Class of 2014. Sasha was a Kindergartner who loved to read, write, draw and swing as high as the sky! This event shares her passion and honors her memory.

Families enjoyed a Creation Story walkthrough, and got to check out the Good News! Book Fair hosted by our librarian, Ms. Eleanor. And on a hot day, the guests need a cold treat, right? We invited the Little Ladies Soft Serve and they brought their Ice Cream Sandwich cart. There were so many flavors!

Thank you to the GoodNews! Book Fair for providing us with some amazing titles that span from toddler to chapter book readers, Little Ladies Soft Serve for their delicious ice cream sandwiches. Thank you to the teachers and administrators that put together one of OLB's favorite events of the year!

Last Friday, the Kindergarten class traveled to Shepherd's Corner Ecology Center You couldn't find a better place to explore God's creation, in so many ways. The students learned about the animals on the farm, including the sheep, llama and chickens. After feeding them carrots and grass, the students participated in learning centers, and even had some time to run around in the open space. They also walked through the woods, across the bridges of the wetlands and back. It was a great day!
