After watching this version of Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King", students created a clay sculpture to represent the music.

I hope you enjoy their creations. I'll add an artist's description to each image in a while.

The beauty of a small school?

Our littlest play and learn with their at-school "big brothers". Today, we are learning flag football!

Who is a "little sibling" that needs your attention today?

When our flag pole halyard became caught in the pulley, Mrs. T's class used their STEM skills to attempt a repair!

It's been a good week in the 4k and 1st-3rd classrooms.

The lower grades and 4K had a fun-filled beginning to the school year this past week. Miss Bekah and Mrs. Z kept the students busy with lots of fun back-to-school activities.

Petersen's theme verse for the 2026/2027 school year comes from Micah 6:8:

"He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?"

As we move into our first weekend, join us in praying for each student and the amazing growth that God is preparing to shower upon them.

Happy First Day of School!

Mrs. Z, Miss Bekah, and Mrs. T are so excited to see everyone.

Currently, Mrs. T's class is shaking off the first day jitters by designing the world's most useless invention. Think: shoes that only walk on Tuesdays, or a machine that makes your assignment slightly harder than the teacher originally gave you or...

What would you create for the world's most useless invention?

Our teachers and aide are bustling to prepare learning spaces and materials for each and everyone.

We celebrate back to school in one week: Wednesday, August 12. I know it sounds early, but our students will be back to summer a week before Memorial Day!

We have space in every class: preschool (4K) - 8th grade. We are saving a spot just for your family!

If you are curious about what makes Petersen different: we are offering a free trial week to anyone who takes a campus tour with our Principal between now and August 12: come see what school at Petersen is all about before you make the year-long commitment.

Additionally, we participate in the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program, which pays private school tuition for families who qualify. There is still time to qualify for Choice funds!

We are so very thankful to the many volunteers who spent the morning at school!

We tackled so much and are so much closer to welcoming our new 4K cohort.
