Service-Learning classes provide hands-on learning and also demonstrate Columbus State's commitment to our community. Students in Service-Learning classes learn a lot about the community -- and about themselves.

This year's theme is Recognizing, Removing, and Reconciling Barriers in Service-Learning.
Our keynote speaker will be Donte Woods-Spikes, a Columbus State graduate and past Service-Learning student. Donte is known throughout Columbus for various forms of work such as professional speaking, community work, and video documentation. Donte's overall goal is to educate and connect the world beyond perceptions and stereotypes with authentic experiences through storytelling and documentation.
Also, hear from Columbus State Service-Learning faculty, students, and community partners on how this experiential learning method fosters civic engagement and student success through meaningful service to the community.
Light breakfast options will be available. Check-in begins at 8:30 am. Faculty, staff, students, and community members are all welcome to attend! 🤗
