Big congrats to Haylen Scott 🎉, Byrd Center Design Intern. Haylen majored in Fashion and Retail Studies, minored in Design Thinking, and will be pursuing a Master’s in Consumer Sciences with a focus in Fashion and Retail Studies at OSU following graduation.

A reception will be held TODAY at 4 PM for Polar Expressions: Finding Beauty in the Coldest Regions on Earth in the Thompson Library Gallery. Polar curator Laura Kissel will give a guided tour of the exhibition. Several items on display are seldom available for public viewing.

Congrats to Austin Weber who is graduating this spring from the School of Earth Sciences with his PhD on the use of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS) to identify mineral particles in ice cores from Earth's highest tropical mountain! 🎉
