The Maize Parents' Page A resource page for the parents of Maize students. Maize is an extraordinary elementary school. Maize has a diverse population of approximately 300 students.

The dedicated staff provides rigorous instruction that integrates technology, writing, literacy and the core curriculum. In addition to an emphasis on reading, phonics and writing, Maize offers a strong curriculum, which includes math, science, social studies, health, art, vocal/instrumental music, and physical education. Our curriculum is closely aligned to state and learning competencies and the

core curriculum. Students have the opportunity to use computers in their classroom and in the Library Media Center. Each classroom is equipped with a Smartboard and teachers integrate technology daily. Community and parent involvement are a priority at Maize with volunteering opportunities, school-wide service projects, community partners and the site for the 2013 National Volunteer Day. It’s fundraiser time! Help raise funds for the PTO which helps with all of our fun events and builds on our school support! Plus, trust me these treats are delicious! Their samples barely made it past the office for other staff and PTO members to taste! If you weren’t sold enough on that- Did you Check out those prizes on the flyers sent home!??Everyone wins when sales are made!!! Sale will continue until Oct 23rd.
