"Buy now, pay later" can feel harmless — until it isn't.
The latest episode of The Daily () dug into something we're seeing more and more in our work: those small "split it into 4 payments" purchases can quietly stack up, especially once they start covering things like groceries or rent instead of a treat.
Here's what we think: it's not a willpower problem. These plans are built to feel invisible — a few dollars here, a few dollars there — until suddenly there are five of them running at once and no one can see the full picture. That's not a personal failing. That's the design working exactly as intended.
If that sounds familiar, you're not behind and you're not alone. You don't need to have it all figured out — you just need someone to help you see the whole picture and build a plan from there. That's exactly what we're here for.
