Sunday’s Gather & Ground free birth affirmations workshop was really special.
and I got to hang out with 10 pregnant people for an afternoon of watercolor, creativity, connection, and birth affirmations, and it was such a beautiful reminder that birth prep can look like more than just checking boxes and reading hospital packets.
Lily created the kind of atmosphere that made everyone feel comfortable experimenting and creating without pressure or the need for perfection. There was so much laughter, conversation, and genuine encouragement flowing around the room, and every single set of affirmation cards turned out beautifully.
Thank you to everyone who came, painted, shared space with us, and trusted us with a small piece of your birth preparation.
And if you missed this one, keep an eye out because I have a feeling this won’t be the last time I do something like this.

My cup is still feeling full from the doula networking lunch I hosted last week.
This room? Full of people who truly get it. The late-night texts, the on-call life, the intensity of holding space for someone bringing a baby into the world… and still showing up the next day to pour into each other.
I came from supporting a client overnight and it was 100% worth extending the sleep deprivation to be in this space. Because this work can feel heavy sometimes, but it doesn’t have to feel lonely.
Here’s what I believe: This isn’t about competition. It never has been. There is more than enough room for all of us. When doulas collaborate, share resources, and build each other up, families are the ones who benefit most.
If you’re pregnant and wondering if hiring a doula is “worth it”… this is your sign. You deserve support like this in your corner.
