The Capital University Percussion Studio is presenting our final concert of the semester on Sunday, 11/23 (Concert Percussion and Steel Pan at 3pm AND Chamber Percussion at 6pm). Please join us in Mees Hall at Capital to see music of Lauren Teel, Heng Liu, Adam Tan, Francisco Perez, Steven Snowden, John Max McFarland, Dustin Schulze, Alan Hovhaness, John Cage, as well as steel pan favorites like Rant and Rave, Day-O, and Spin Cycle, among others.
There will be spoken word, an epic 'drum battle', music to accompany videos of thunderstorms rolling in, secret nomad languages from the Great Depression, quotes from a 365-day calendar of 'stupid' things people have said - set for two percussion and soprano to be performed by Susan Musselman, and musical imagery that evokes mountain scenes.
PERCUSSIVE IMPRESSIONS: MUSIC FOR ALL WEATHER // See you at the Mees Hall Haueisen Stage one week from today!
