7-12 Titan Parents! Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6th-10th. We have heard that some parents would like to help, but didn't know how because we don't have PTO. If you would like to make a monetary donation to making this week special for our CJSHS teachers, please contact Megan Smith or Nicki Strickland at school. We are planning awesome things for our 7-12 teachers! ❤️💛❤️💛

8th grade parents----The week before spring break, your student was given a packet for freshman enrollment. Please go through the packet with your son/daughter. A high school counselor will be at Central (8th grade building) during P/T conferences on Thursday evening from 4:45-6:45 to answer questions about freshman enrollment for next year. Students should choose the classes they would like to take and bring back the enrollment sheet to Mrs. Mosler by Monday. Next week, we will input their choices into the system.

Attention CUHS:

The safety of students and test center staff is our top priority. We have rescheduled the April 4 national test date across the U.S. in response to concerns about the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

All students registered for the April 4 test date will receive an email in the next few days informing them of the postponement and instructions for free rescheduling to June 13 or a future national test date.

Parents! All PreACT results have been given back to Freshman and Sophomore students. We spend about 10-15 minutes with each student going over the results, discussing options and the pathways that we offer, and answer any questions. It takes some time to get through them all. Your son/daughter should have their copies to show you. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!

The bulletin board outside the Counselor's office shows a summary of activities our students complete to help with their future plans. These activities will help satisfy the required IPS (Individual Plan of Study) that each student must have. Just wanted to keep parents in the loop of what your student has been and will be doing!

Looking to play sports in college?? Here is a NCAA Reminder: In order to go on an official college visit, students must complete their Certification Account registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center (including submitting payment or a fee waiver request), be on that NCAA Division I or II school's Institution Request List (IRL) and present the institution with a high school or college academic transcript. If a student currently has a Profile Page, he/she must convert that account to a Certification and pay the fee/request a fee waiver.

College-bound student-athletes preparing to enroll in a Division I or Division II school need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center to ensure they have met amateurism standards and are academically prepared for college coursework.
