𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐩: While we have the technical expertise for "One Man, One Vote," the system collapses without trust.

"𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦—𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐬."

In a powerful segment from our town hall, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡𝐢 𝐐𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐱 addresses the uncomfortable truth behind Somalia's political stalemate. It isn't just a lack of laws; it's a refusal to follow them.

Dr. Qorax's Key Insights:

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐩: He highlights that while systems and governments exist, politicians often prioritize personal desires over established rules.

𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭: He reveals a painful reality—the Somali people are silent, and the trust necessary to build a nation is completely absent. We cannot move forward while the public's voice is missing.

𝐀 "𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞'𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭": Dr. Qorax proposes a significant shift toward public debate, posing the critical question: "Maxaa isku keen hayo?" (What is holding us together?) especially when the federal government and states are out of sync.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞: Our systems, from the economy to the legal sector, are fragile. However, there is a solution.

"Columbus and all of you can be the start." Dr. Qorax challenges the diaspora to ignite these necessary discussions. It's time to move beyond personal interests and lay a foundation that truly holds.

Do you agree? Is a "People's Parliament" the right way to bridge the gap between the government and the community? 💬👇

"𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞."

Dr. Abukar Saney delivered a sobering reality check at our "Somalia at the Edge" forum. His message was clear: as long as the political elite keep moving the goalposts, the people will remain victims.

Dr. Saney's Key Points:

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫-𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐚𝐩: He reflected on the 2022 power-sharing agreements that excluded Puntland, as well as the 2023 shift toward a "one man, one vote" system that currently lacks a solid foundation.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐱: Why do we continue to support clan-based politicians who offer no real solutions? Dr. Saney noted that while society suffers from these failed policies, the people's "voice" is often drowned out by traditional political maneuvering.

𝐀 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐖𝐚𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝: He argued that a true "one man, one vote" system is not feasible at this moment. Instead, the focus should be on consensus among political officials and the urgent need for a civil society that actively advocates for community rights.

"We need awareness. We need civil servants who push for civil rights and act as the true voice for our communities."

It is time to move beyond the circling of the political elite and begin building a Somalia that serves its citizens.
