Another year of recruitment has come and gone, and the ambassadors have made it through another semester of school at THE Ohio State University. Now that we have passed May 1st in the rear view mirror, the College of Engineering is so excited to welcome the incoming freshman class of 2022!
With graduation just around the corner, it is time to honor the seniors that have put so much Buckeye pride into the ambassador program and their college careers. Thank you for your dedication and enthusiasm that has made recruitment so much fun!
It is also time to appreciate all the hard work put in by the leadership team this past year to make the ambassador program as amazing as it's been:

Vice President: Adam Braff
Secretary/Recruitment Chair: Mary Therese Lavelle
Treasurer/Involvement Chair: David Kormos
Professional Development/Social Chair: Alison Walasinski
Thanks for an outstanding year! And congratulations to the new leadership team taking over for the 2018-2019 school year. Can't wait to get started!

Our ambassadors and directors getting ready for our first big recruitment event of the semester - Buckeye Bound!
Last semester sure ended with a bang. It was great to introduce all 25 new ambassadors to the program and reward the most devoted ambassadors with scholarships! The beginning of this semester has started off strong with tours that not even the weather can stop. Looking forward to the semester ahead!

HUGE Thank You to our sponsor Marathon Petroleum Corporation for coming in for another professional development night! The topic, "Leading Effective Meetings," was very engaging and the ambassadors will definitely use the tips they learned when they enter their respective engineering industries

Interested in getting involved in the Green Building Industry? Opportunities are plentiful in the field of sustainable design and LEED is at its forefront.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is simply a green-rating point system, or a scorecard. The more energy efficient and sustainable a building is, the more points it will earn. To date, this course and its materials have proven to be instrumental in helping over 1500 students pass their respective exam at a 100% pass rate. This course is offered at a quarter of the price and time as the competition and is geared at allowing students to graduate with letters after their name!
Just as Buildings can be LEED certified, people in the sustainable construction industry can become LEED Professionals. The LEED Green Associate (GA) credential is the only entry level sustainability designation and shows employers and clients that you have certified knowledge in the green building industry. A new LEED rating system (v4) was introduced last month and this training course is one of the few that has been updated to teach the current rating system. This course meets the exam’s eligibility requirements and the USGBC charges a $200 fee for the actual exam which can be taken at any time at your nearest Prometric center.
Cost: $300 ($200 for full time students)
