Computing Career Corps (CCC) wrapped up its 15-week program with a student showcase where participants shared final projects, demonstrated technical skills, and practiced presenting their ideas in a supportive environment alongside their peers. The showcase gave students an opportunity to strengthen communication and presentation skills while building confidence in sharing their work with others.
During CCC, students explored coding, web and game development, cybersecurity, app design, and tech support concepts through hands-on, career-connected projects. Along the way, they built technical knowledge alongside durable skills like collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication. Students also earned Work-Based Learning hours and gained exposure to technology career pathways through volunteer career talks.
Many students will continue their journey this summer through TECH CORPS pre-apprenticeship internships, further expanding their skills and workforce readiness.
CCC is sponsored by the Franklin County Board of Commissioners and administered by the Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services.
Thank you to the volunteers who shared their time, experiences, and career insights with students throughout the program. Learn more about TECH CORPS programs and partnerships at techcorps.org.
