We're still celebrating! Last Friday, the YMCA of Central Ohio won three awards at the Ohio Department of Education's "Shining Moments in Summer and Afterschool Learning" Recognition Celebration honoring summer learning and afterschool opportunities grant recipients.

Columbus Blue Jackets Special Hockey and YMCA ECRN+ are making sure no athlete is left out. This inclusive hockey session was organized for all abilities at Hilliard/Ray Patch Family YMCA. Every kid got a chance to learn and play! Thanks to all of the families who came and our wonderful volunteers!

Through stories and fun activities like riddles, coloring pages, mazes, word searches etc., the ZAKIRA PRESENTS series encourages the reader to foster a spirit of global citizenship, cultural appreciation, celebration of diversity, empathy and inclusion.
In ZAKIRA PRESENTS BLACK HISTORY: LET'S GIVE THEM FLOWERS, the reader will learn about the scientist who created a COVID-19 vaccine, the researcher who invented the Super Soaker, the hero who saved a Black community in Springfield, Ohio and so many more wonderful people!
ZAKIRA PRESENTS is a creation of Columbus City School (Ohio) students and Obayuwana sisters Zahara (8), Zakiya (11) and Zalika (12).
