Every Friday, our 4th–8th graders have the special opportunity to learn and grow in their faith through altar server training with Father Hector! ⛪️🙏

Father Hector works with our students to teach them the responsibilities of serving at the altar, while also helping them understand the importance and meaning behind their role in the Mass. We are so grateful for his time, patience, and dedication to preparing our students to serve our school and parish community! 🤍

🌎✨ Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

From September 15 through October 15, we celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. We are grateful for the many cultures and backgrounds that make our school community so special. ❤️

Throughout this month, we encourage our students to learn, celebrate, and grow in appreciation for the beautiful diversity of God’s people!

Today, our SMM community paused to remember and honor the lives forever changed on September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸

Throughout the morning, our school joined together in moments of prayer, reflecting on the courage, compassion, and selflessness shown by ordinary people on that day—from the boatlift that carried thousands to safety, to Welles Crowther, the community of Gander, Newfoundland, and the passengers of Flight 93.

With our flag flying at half-staff, we remember those who lost their lives, those who ran toward danger to help others, and the families who continue to carry their memory. May we always be reminded that even in the darkest moments, we are called to choose courage, serve one another, and be a light for others.

We remember. We pray. We will never forget. 🇺🇸🙏

🐻📚 Brown Bear, Brown Bear… and some very special visitors!

Our Kindergarten buddies stopped by fourth grade to practice introducing themselves and share Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? 📖 The fourth graders loved cheering them on, encouraging them, and making our youngest students feel right at home!

We love seeing friendships grow across grade levels and watching our students support one another as one school community. 💛🌱

What a beautiful way to come together in faith today! 🤍

Our 7th graders led us in prayer and song at today’s Mass, helping our school community worship together. A special moment came when Father pulled out a sign asking, “Who is Jesus for you?” ✝️

His message reminded us that Jesus is so much more than someone we learn about—He is our love, our best friend, and our life. May we carry that question with us this week and continue growing closer to Him each day. 💙🙏

There’s nothing better than having our whole school family back together for Mass! 🤍🙏

Yesterday was filled with so many special moments—our kindergarteners received their first blessing of the school year, and our 8th graders beautifully led us through the readings and in song. 🎶

Father also introduced us to a new friend… Boxine! 📦 Boxine joins Father at the altar to help our students better understand the readings and homily. With a voice of its own and different objects for Father to pull out and share, Boxine is already making Mass even more engaging and meaningful for our students!

What a beautiful way to begin another year growing together in faith. 🌱✝️
