If there was ever a weekend that captured the many ways our teammates experience RUNColumbus, this was it.
A four-mile Friday night race. A marathon. A 50K. Rugged trail miles. A walking-only event. Races across multiple states.
And a whole lot to celebrate along the way.
At the Oktoberfest Meiler Vier, Brian finished 2nd Overall and Patti won her age group.
At the inaugural Sunbury Marathon, teammates raced every distance from the 1 Mile to the Marathon. Kim took on 26.2, Clare finished 2nd Overall in the 20-Miler, Richard won his age group in the Half Marathon, and Billur, Polly, and Barb earned age-group wins in the 10K.
At the Hocking Hills Trail Run, teammates covered every distance from the 5K to the 50K. George tackled the 50K, Fern finished 2nd Overall in the 10-Miler, Sarah and Maria won their age groups, and Pat earned an age-group win in the 20-Miler.
Sunday brought the Healthy New Albany Walking Classic, while teammates were also racing in Virginia, Alabama, Michigan, Minnesota, and Ohio’s Amish Country.
But the weekend was bigger than the results.
First trail races. First-time distances. PRs. Big goals. New challenges.
Different distances. Different terrain. Different goals.
One community celebrating all of it together.
If this sounds like your kind of running and walking community, the 2027 RUNColumbus Race Series is open.
