The St. Peter's Class of 1983 held their class reunion last week. It was an amazing event! The alums in attendance toured the church and school, which has changed a lot since 1983, enjoyed a great meal, shared favorite memories of their experience at St. Peter's, and participated in a trivia game. Former teachers in attendance also shared memories of the students in this class. After the reunion, many of the classmates continued their celebration downtown at a local pub. The event was truly awesome! Huge kudos go out to Matt Carothers, Heather Krebbs, and Cindy Weisner for organizing this special event.
If you have a milestone year from graduating from St. Peter's coming up, please consider holding a class reunion. Matt, Heather, and Cindy have a great template that you could follow.
Go, Lions! Thank you for being a part of the Pride!

The 160th school year officially began two weeks ago. We are blessed to have 419 students enrolled in our school. Please keep our students, parents, teachers, and administrators in your prayers as they work together to "Ignite the Light" throughout the year. Our theme verse is Matthew 5:16, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

The annual Kindy 500 was held today. What an absolute riot! Our kindergartners competed well in their homemade cars. We are so proud of them! The race consisted of a parade lap and then three race laps around our "track" in our new gymnasium, The Den. All racers even had to make a pit stop to change their "tires." What a great, feel good moment for our kindergartners and our entire school! Go, Lions!

Last week, St. Peter's joined Lutheran schools across the country to celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week. We give thanks to God for the tremendous opportunity we have to tell about the Love of Jesus to children every day in our school. We know that God continues to use our school and all Lutheran schools to make an eternal impact on the lives of the children entrusted to our care.
Highlights of the week included:
- Daily Dress-up Days
- Bounce Houses
- Staff v. 8th Grade Olympics (The 8th graders dominated!)
- Chapel Service (SIX children were baptized at this service!)
Please continue to keep your alma mater in your prayers, as we work hard to "transform lives and grow God's Kingdom!"

Our 8th grade boys' played well, too, earning a solid 3rd Place finish. Gage King and Leo Baker were named to the All-Tournament team. They hope to be selected to the National Tournament, as well.

Greetings, St. Peter's Alumni! Our students have returned from a long Christmas break and are getting back into the swing of things. Please continue to pray for our students and teachers, as the third quarter is often times the hardest to get through. In spite of the gloomy weather and lack of breaks in the third quarter, there still is much to be excited about in our school. February is the height of the basketball season, with girls' and boys' Lutheran Invitational Tournaments and the Lutheran State Basketball Tournament. Look for additional posts in the upcoming month to find out how our teams perform in these tournaments. Go, Lions!

Back by popular demand... Fall Fair is returning on Saturday, October 29 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at The Den and the old gymnasium! Families in our school, church, and community will have the opportunity to play games, win prizes, eat food, and simply have a ton of fun! All alumni are also invited to check out the fair.
