Educating students and families about college admission AND financial aid is what I do! 😊 The second photo is my creative way of explaining how college aid works. I shoot play and REAL money from a dispenser and ask participants to grab as much money as they can in a few seconds! It’s a lesson in being proactive and completing financial aid forms early and applying for scholarships early and often! It’s open! The new 2024-25 FAFSA opened on December 31, 2023—nearly three months after its previous availability date. If your child will be in college for the 2024-25 school year, you must complete the FAFSA to be considered for federal financial aid.

This is a soft launch for the new form, which means the form may be unavailable during periods of maintenance and testing. The information obtained on the FAFSA will be sent to colleges by the end of January, which will significantly reduces the window colleges will have to make decisions about financial aid. Completing the FAFSA as early as possible may reduce some of the expected delays. For more information, please visit the official website at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.
