Applications Are Now Open for the OSLN Licensure Exam Prep Program!

Ready to earn your Ohio supplemental license in Computer Science?

The Ohio STEM Learning Network's Licensure Exam Prep Program is designed to help current and aspiring computer science teachers prepare for the Ohio Assessments for Educators: Computer Science (054) exam through a combination of self-paced online learning and expert-led virtual study sessions.

Accepted participants will receive:
✅ 50+ hours of exam-aligned online learning
✅ Ten live virtual study sessions with experienced facilitators
✅ Personalized learning pathways based on pre-assessment results
✅ Support from a community of educators pursuing licensure

Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis through November 25, 2026, or until all seats are filled.

The Ohio STEM Learning Network is excited to introduce DO STEM Ecosystem as the new Regional Hub serving the greater Dayton region.

DO STEM connects schools, educators, industry partners, higher education institutions, and community organizations to create meaningful STEM learning opportunities that help students explore future careers, solve real-world problems, and build skills for success.

Through this partnership, the Dayton Hub will help strengthen connections between classrooms and the incredible STEM resources already available throughout the region.

As Hub Director Jessica Short shares, "When students experience high-quality STEM learning, they're learning how to think critically, solve meaningful problems, collaborate with others, and build the confidence to tackle challenges they never thought possible."

It's always a good day to celebrate science.. but especially today🚀🥳

“When students experience high-quality STEM learning, they’re not just learning content,” said Jessica Short, Regional STEM Center Director. “They’re learning how to think critically, solve meaningful problems, collaborate with others, and build the confidence to tackle challenges they never thought possible. Those are skills that prepare students not just for school, but for life.”

We are celebrating alongside our partners at DO STEM Ecosystem as they step into a brand new chapter, as they become the new Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN) regional hub serving the greater Dayton region. As Dayton’s nationally recognized STEM Ecosystem, DO STEM brings together education, industry, government, military, higher education, and community organizations around a shared mission: fostering collaboration to enhance STEM across the region.

As a longtime partner of DO STEM, MCESC has seen firsthand the power of bringing these partners together around innovative learning opportunities. This new role will create even more opportunities to connect our region’s educators and schools with valuable resources, professional learning, partnerships, and support. We are especially excited about what this means for schools across the Dayton region as they continue to grow their STEM and STEAM programming and pursue Ohio STEM/STEAM designation. What happens when CTE educators from across Ohio gather to learn, collaborate, and innovate?

Last week, educators joined us in Columbus for the CTE+STEM Innovation Lab, presented in partnership with Ohio ACTE and the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce. Participants explored ways to design learning experiences that connect classroom learning to authentic industry challenges, workforce needs, and student interests.

Throughout the Innovation Lab, educators shared ideas, built new connections, and developed strategies to create engaging opportunities that prepare students for success in school, careers, and beyond. Together, they explored how STEM and Career Technical Education can work hand in hand to strengthen student learning and expand pathways to in-demand careers.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to an inspiring week of learning, collaboration, and innovation. We can't wait to see the impact these educators make in classrooms and communities across Ohio.
