A special announcement was shared with our College and Career Academy Board at their most recent meeting: distinguished Jordan alumna and Councilwoman Judy Thomas has left a lasting legacy for future Red Jackets through a planned estate gift benefiting our students in perpetuity.

The gift is being stewarded by our friends at the Community Foundation of the Chattahoochee Valley, who joined Ms. Judy’s family to share its vision and impact.

We are deeply grateful to Judy’s family for their generosity and to the Community Foundation for helping make this lasting investment in our students possible.

Our Red Jackets are always hard at work! Last week, senior Kenyon Nipper put his skills to work at Downtown Elementary Magnet Academy, assisting with the installation of shelves for their PBIS store.

Our Media Center had an incredible start to the school year! In August, our Red Jackets checked out 913 books and participated in 35 class visits.

From beloved fiction series like Twilight, Harry Potter, and The Hunger Games to a strong interest in true crime non-fiction, our students continue to show that there’s always something worth reading. ❤️📖

Thank you, Red Jackets, for making our Media Center a place to read, learn, explore, and grow!
