Last week in 5th grade was packed with hands-on learning and creativity! 🦁📚

Students stepped back in time to experience the Stamp Act of 1765, where they were “taxed” on every assignment they turned in 💰✏️. During their very own Stamp Act Congress, they debated, questioned, and decided for themselves—was the tax fair?

Meanwhile, they also looked ahead to the future by following the Artemis II mission 🚀🌕. As part of their space studies, students learned about what astronauts eat and even created their own astronaut pudding!

History + science + a little food fun = a great week in 5th grade! ✨

Our 2nd grade students are busy measuring up to success! 📏✨

In Westside Christian School, Miss Herron is keeping learning active and engaging as students explore measurement using everyday items from around the classroom. From desks to pencils, they’re getting hands-on experience while staying up and moving!

📏✨ Measuring Up in Kindergarten! ✨📏

Our kindergarteners have been busy little mathematicians as they explored measurement using rulers and Unifix cubes! 🧱📐

Students practiced measuring objects by lining up cubes and using rulers to compare lengths. Through hands-on learning, they discovered how to measure, count, and check their work—building both confidence and foundational math skills along the way!

We love seeing their focus, teamwork, and excitement as they learn that math can be fun AND colorful! 🎉

Our 5th graders took learning outside today! ☀️🌎

Students explored the movement of the Earth in space by creating and using their own sun clocks. As the sun moved across the sky, they were able to observe how shadows change—just like scientists do!

Hands-on learning like this helps bring big concepts to life and makes science something they can truly experience.

Way to go, 5th grade! 🦁📚✨
