Earl K. Fernandes and Dr. Adam Dufault, Superintendent of Our Catholic Schools, attended the Front Royal Education Summit at Christendom College this week.

The summit brings together bishops, superintendents, scholars, institutional leaders, and strategic partners to assist educational reform across dioceses, schools, and institutions, examining the most pressing needs of Catholic educational reform.

Please continue to pray for all those who are a part of Catholic education throughout the summer!

Students at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic School recently showcased their hard work and dedication during the school’s “Speak the Faith” event.

As part of this impressive 7:15 a.m. elective course, eighth grade students presented research on Eucharistic miracles and the Shroud of Turin, demonstrating thoughtful study, public speaking skills, and a deep engagement with their faith.

The event was moderated by Anita Ference and Principal Courtney Caric.

We are inspired by the commitment these students have shown in living and learning their faith beyond the traditional school day.

At Saint Mary School Lancaster, the community recently celebrated a beautiful May Crowning during their Grandparents Day Liturgy.
Eighth graders Dominic and Cecilia had the honor of crowning Our Lady, after reading essays about their person relationships with Our Lady. The school choir, 3-8 grades, was a definite highlight, as you see on the faces!

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! 🍎

This week, we celebrate the incredible teachers who serve our Catholic schools with dedication, compassion, and faith. Every day, you go beyond the lesson plan by forming hearts, inspiring minds, and guiding students to grow not only academically but spiritually.

Your commitment to excellence, your patience in the classroom, and your unwavering belief in each student do not go unnoticed. You are mentors, role models, and living examples of Christ’s love in action.

Because of you, our schools are more than places of learning. They are communities of faith, hope, and purpose.

Thank you for all that you do, today and every day. We are deeply grateful for you.

Administrators from the Diocese of Columbus gathered together to celebrate Mass at Church of the Resurrection yesterday. Bishop Earl K. Fernandes celebrated Mass, and Deacon Chris Campbell, principal at Bishop Watterson High School, and Deacon Paul Zemanek assisted.

Before Mass, our superintendent, Dr. Adam Dufault, honored administrators celebrating milestone anniversaries and extended his congratulations and thanks to Kathleen O'Reilly, who will retire after 36 years as a principal in Catholic education, most recently at Saint Brigid of Kildare School.

We are grateful for all of our administrators, teachers, students, and families in our Catholic schools around the diocese!
