It’s hard to believe that September is already coming to an end - time flies when you’re having fun! Even though it’s getting cooler outside and darker earlier, there is one thing we can all look forward to: the After-School Program! We’ve been working hard around here to make sure that this year’s program is the best it’s ever been, and we cannot wait to share it with our students!

It’s officially fall, which means the school year is fully underway. It also means that there’s only a few more weeks until our After-School Program begins! If you’re noticing any classes or subjects that are giving your student a bit of trouble, now would be the time to make note of them - that way, when The Hardy Center and all of our tutors are back in action, we’ll know exactly what to focus on!

Can you believe it’s been over a month since our Summer Program ended? Because we sure can’t! Before we know it, we’ll all be back here working on homework and hanging out with friends. See you soon!

We’re about a month into the school year, and we hope it’s going well for everyone! These first couple months are always a bit difficult, but can you blame the students for wanting to get back outside after such an amazing time at our Summer Program??Don’t worry, though - we’ll be back together at the After-School Program again in no time. We hope you’re looking forward to it as much as we are!!

Lunchtime! We don’t just provide food for thought at our After-School Program - we do regular food as well! When a student attends The Hardy Center after school, they’ll come home with a full brain and a full stomach thanks to our tutoring and our meal program. Swing on by and join us for a snack once the After-School Program starts!

Just a little over a month left before our After-School Program begins - are you as excited as we are?? We miss seeing all of our students around, and we can’t wait until everyone is back so that we can lend a helping hand during the school year!

We want to give a huge thank you to our friends over at COSI - Center of Science and Industry for having us last Friday. We had a total blast! No need to run any experiments to tell if we had a good time - just check out these photos of our students! COSI is always an amazing trip because our students get to learn and have fun at the same time. During this year’s trip, we learned about anatomy, energy, and gravity - but we had such a fun time doing it that you can barely tell! Thank you again COSI - Center of Science and Industry - we’re looking forward to seeing you again soon!

We had such a fun time on Tuesday at the Ohio Statehouse! We got a tour, learned about how our state’s government works, and even met a State Representative, Ismail Mohamed! Learning about and understanding how our government works is an important step towards becoming an informed voter and participant in democracy, and our students got a great head start! Thank you so much Ohio Statehouse and Rep Mohamed - we’re looking forward to seeing you again soon!

We love to teach our students all about nutrition, and there’s nothing healthier than food you’ve grown yourself. Our community garden, run by our resident greenthumb Miss Debby, is full of fresh fruits and veggies planted by our students! Come by and take a look at our revamped garden, complete with new gravel pathways and newly planted produce!

All of us here at The Hardy Center hope that you had a great 4th of July weekend with friends and family - we know we did! We celebrated the 4th a bit early by taking a trip to the Governor’s Mansion last week and learning about our state’s history. We have much more to share from the trip, so stay tuned!
