We had our first full day on Friday! We are so thankful for Mrs. Belitz, who showed us all about using the school library. We are super excited to check out new books every week. Our classes got the chance to practice indoor recess while the rain kept us from the playground, but we still had a great time! K/1 students presented their "All About Me" bags and learned all about making WOW pictures. Here's to a great start!!

The names are on the desks and hooks, the bulletin boards are papered and decorated, the signs are hung, the rooms are ready!! We had a great turnout for the Back to School Open House and now we can say we've successfully completed our first day of school!! Thank you to Pastor Voelker for leading us in a chapel about being firmly rooted in God's word so that we can withstand the "wind of the world'. Thank you to everyone who came out and WORKED today on our School Project Day! Trucks, trailers, rakes, shovels, rags and mops, brushes and rollers, and even a skid loader! We had many happy helpers and the completed projects look amazing. Our gym and windows are sparkling, the playground is freshly mulched, the landscaping got a much needed face lift, the garage is organized, and the walls are patched and freshly painted. Before and after pictures to come soon, we got rained out at the end before I could document the final product! Our staff feels truly blessed and thankful for the support of these amazing families! Our students will greatly appreciate their beautiful campus. Thanks especially to the Brown, Frese, Goedeken, Hetzel, Klug, Kosch, Kumpf, Lindner, Muhle, Nettleton, Phelps, Sobota, Wilke, Wolff, and Wolta families!! All of our teaching staff was on hand working hard as well, and our Board of Ed members took care of special projects beforehand. It takes a village, and we love our Christ Lutheran community!!
