On Friday our Preschoolers and Tot 2 group came together for a fun, messy activity—“Dirt n Worms!” 🪱🤎

We explored real, live worms and the children were so curious and gentle as they observed them up close! Then we got hands-on with a sensory bin filled with spaghetti “worms,” giving everyone a chance to squish, scoop, and explore.

To top it all off, we made yummy “dirt n worms” dessert cups with chocolate pudding, cookie “dirt,” and gummy worms—and they were a BIG hit! 🍫🐛

It was a wonderful time of learning, exploring, and working together. We love seeing our groups connect, get messy, and have so much fun! 💛

Color Mixing Fun!🎨
Our Tot 2 learners became mini scientists as we explored color mixing with water! We started with the three primary colors—blue, yellow, and red—and watched the magic happen as we combined them to create brand new colors! 🌈

This hands-on activity encouraged curiosity, creativity, and early science skills while strengthening fine motor skills through pouring and mixing.

This month, we had the opportunity to celebrate several milestones through the Rooted in Relationships - Platte County program:

🌟 Mrs. Kaycee graduated from the three-year Rooted in Relationships program.

🌟 Mrs. Kayla graduated from her three-year Rooted in Relationships journey and has already begun the next steps as part of a coaching cohort.

🌱 Mrs. Sophie, Miss Sheralyn, and Miss Katie have begun their own Rooted in Relationships cohort and are excited to continue growing their knowledge and skills.

For the past five years, our Childcare Director, Hailey and our program has been blessed to participate in Rooted in Relationships. This partnership has strengthened our classrooms, supported our teachers, and enhanced the relationships we build with children and families every day.

We are grateful for the dedication of our teachers and their commitment to creating nurturing, responsive, and high-quality learning environments.

Sweet Treat Success! ✨🍦

Our preschool class had so much fun yesterday making homemade ice cream! The children got hands-on as they helped mix the ingredients and watched as it turned into a yummy frozen treat.

The best part? Getting to enjoy it afterward—with plenty of colorful sprinkles on top! 🌈🍨

This activity was a perfect blend of learning and fun, encouraging teamwork, following directions, and a little bit of kitchen science. Plus, nothing beats the excitement of eating something you made yourself! 😋💛

Tape Pull! 🤏🏼
Our Tot 1 classroom is practicing using their pincer grasp to pull tape off different objects around the classroom. This activity helps strengthen fine motor skills and supports the development of those small hand muscles needed for future tasks like writing!
