Our focus remains on Ukrainian airlines whose planes remain grounded due to the invasion of the Russian military into Ukraine. By sharing their photos and stories, we hope you will continue to support their cause to maintain their freedom and spread their wings once more.

Meet our colleagues at YanAir, a Ukrainian airline based in Kyiv. The airline has a small fleet of three aircraft, which it uses to operate scheduled and chartered flight services for passengers and cargo.

We stand with all our airline colleagues affected by this invasion and wish them a safe return to the sky.

First approach down to minimums. The plane before us broke out at 200ft we broke out at about 250ft. Good times!

First trip in the books !

I remember sitting on the couch in my house that I had just bought back in 2018 with my then girlfriend, now beautiful wife Taylor Jo Byrer. I remember the conversation like it was yesterday. We discussed whether or not it would be worth the effort, time, and money to continue on with flight training. I questioned her whether I had the drive and smarts to do it. I wasn’t convinced I had it in me, but she sure was!

Getting through all of my primary flight training was not an easy thing to accomplish all, especially while working full time. Taylor has always been my biggest supporter and biggest fan. She’s always the one telling me to believe in myself when I don’t think I can do it. That’s the push I’ve always needed to get my butt in gear!

Shout out to one of best friends Caleb McBrier who was there on the day I passed my private pilot Checkride way back in 2015 and has endured as much of my self doubt as Taylor. lol

It turns out I have plenty of drive, more smarts than I thought, and I gained a lot of confidence along the way! I’ve accepted a job as First officer in midsize private jet, the Hawker 800XP. I still have A LOT of work and training ahead of me get up to speed in the jet world. I’ll be heading off to training on October 3rd!
