Picture Day is coming up at Columbus East High School!

Picture Days are scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, and Wednesday, September 2. Students will have their pictures taken during their English classes.

Future in Focus: Meet Our First Six!

Each week during Team Chats, we have the opportunity to connect with and learn more about the amazing students who make up the Class of 2030. Every Friday, we’ll introduce another group of freshmen and help our East community put names to the faces of our newest Olympians.

This Thursday, August 20th!

Join us at Columbus East for an opportunity to connect with your student’s grade-level team, hear important information about the year ahead, and get your questions answered.

🚪 Door 1 opens at 5:15 p.m., with team meetings beginning at 5:30 and 6:15 p.m.

Clubs and community partners will also be hosting information tables throughout the evening. We look forward to welcoming our Olympian families!

🎉 Congratulations, Amelia Shaw!

We are incredibly proud of 2025 BCSC Teacher of the Year Amelia Shaw, who has been named a Top 10 Finalist for the Indiana Department of Education’s 2027 Indiana Teacher of the Year! Amelia teaches German at Columbus East High School and Columbus North High School.

Amelia continues to represent BCSC and the incredible educators who serve our students each day. Congratulations on this well-deserved statewide recognition, Amelia! 🍎👏

BCSC has had a teacher recognized in the Indiana Top 10 for the past 4 years.

Join us for Family Welcome Night on Thursday, August 20. Each grade-level team will host a meeting to share important information, answer questions, and help families understand what to expect during the school year.

The Class of 2027 kicked off their senior year this morning with Senior Sunrise! 🌅

There was no better way to begin their final year at East than gathering together, making memories, and watching the sun rise on an exciting new chapter. We are looking forward to celebrating this incredible group throughout the year and seeing all they accomplish.
