The Akili Student of the Month for Integrity is Estrellas Aracen Gonzalez (Class of 2029)!

Estrella is someone who actively considers being a young woman of integrity and tries to live a life in line with it. Estrella is always in uniform, self-advocates for missing work when she is gone. She is quiet during instruction and completes every assignment thoroughly. Not only does she keep herself accountable to staying on track but she also gently tries to keep her peers on track as well. Regardless of what anyone else in the room is doing she is continually committed to doing the right thing!

As a freshman, Estrella has demonstrated Akili’s value of integrity through her honest and transparent character, which is the main highlight of a person with integrity. At Akili, we are so proud and excited to see the ways Estrella continues to demonstrate her inspirational integrity to staff and students!

Prom is 5 days away! Juniors and Seniors, don’t forget to purchase your tickets by Friday! We are so excited to celebrate such a special night with our students and can't wait to see our red carpet experience come to life Saturday for, “Lights, Camera, Prom”✨📸✨

STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Sir'Vion Spann

Sir'Vion has consistently impressed teachers with his ability to connect different concepts and retain information to full capacity. He has done what is needed to ensure the grades he needs to be successful. During the third quarter, the hardest quarter for students, Sir'Vion continued to improve and achieve higher grades consistently throughout. Sir'Vion is a learner who always seeks to improve and excel daily. He has brought many insightful and inquisitive thoughts to the classroom, and Akili is proud and thankful to be part of such a knowledgeable student's love for learning!

As a sophomore, Sir'Vion has been a role model of our Akili value Knowledge, and we are thankful to see how he continues to challenge himself and others around him.

Last Friday, teachers and students dressed as their favorite artists during Spirit Week! 🎨

Akili students and parents, State testing is coming up, beginning on Tuesday, April 14th - April 23rd. Students are not permitted to wear uniform on testing days!
Week 1: Graduation tests for 9th & 10th grades + Upperclassmen retakes.
Week 2: Diploma Seals Tests for 10th and 11th Grades.
