π¦πΏ Habitat Explorers! ππ
Our preschoolers put their critical thinking skills to work as they learned about different animal habitats! After exploring various environments, the children carefully sorted and matched animals to the habitats where they belong. From river creatures to forest friends, they used observation, reasoning, and problem-solving skills to make their choices.
This hands-on activity helped strengthen cognitive development, build vocabulary, encourage scientific thinking, and deepen their understanding of the natural world. We loved watching our little learners become confident habitat experts as they discussed where each animal lives and why! πβ¨

Our starfish friends enjoyed a fun sensory exploration activity today using sealed pudding bags! π They squeezed, patted, and pressed the bags, watching how the pudding moved and changed shape with each touch.
This safe sensory experience encouraged curiosity and exploration while helping to strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and sensory awareness. As the infants manipulated the bags, they were also learning about cause and effect and building important early cognitive skills.β¨πΆ
A little squish, a little squeeze, and a lot of learning! ππ

Our young toddlers had a blast exploring cause and effect with balls and ramps! π They carefully placed the balls at the top of the ramp and eagerly watched as they rolled, and traveled all the way down.
Activities like this help build early problem-solving skills, hand-eye coordination, fine motor development, and an understanding of cause and effect. Most importantly, it encourages curiosity, prediction-making, and a love for hands-on learning as they explore how objects move and react. β¨
A simple activity filled with big discoveries and lots of smiles! ππ

Summer Camp Week 1 is Off to a Great Start! βοΈππ³
Our first week of Summer Camp started with lots of fun, learning, and adventure! The children enjoyed a wonderful trip to Wyman Park, where they explored, played, and spent time outdoors with their friends.
We were also excited to welcome a local police officer, who spoke with the children about safety and being good community helpers. The campers loved asking questions, seeing the police vehicle, and learning important safety tips.
We are looking forward to an amazing summer filled with exciting field trips, special visitors, hands-on activities, and unforgettable memories!

A big THANK YOU to our local heroes from the Fire Department for visiting our school today! ππ©βππ¨βπ
Our kiddos had so much fun learning about fire safety, exploring the firefightersβ equipment, and even seeing the fire truck up close! The children asked lots of questions and loved getting a hands-on look at the tools firefighters use to help keep our community safe.
Experiences like these help children build safety awareness, strengthen listening and communication skills, and encourage confidence when learning about real-life community helpers. We are so grateful for the time they took to teach and inspire our students today! β€οΈπ₯

Our young toddlers had so much fun becoming little scientists today as they made their very own moon sand! πβ¨ Each child took turns pouring cups of flour and baby oil into the bowl, then helped mix everything together to create the soft sensory sand. After all their hard work, they headed over to the sensory bin to explore and play with their homemade creation! π€
Activities like this help support fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, sensory exploration, turn-taking, and early teamwork skills while encouraging curiosity and creativity through hands-on learning! π

Our Lillieβs had so much fun turning simple coffee filters into colorful masterpieces! βπ¨ After coloring their filters, we used droppers to add water and watched the colors blend and spread into beautiful art creations. This hands-on activity helped strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and early science exploration as they observed cause and effect right before their eyes! π§π
