8th grade members Rileigh Boyd, Brooklyn Forrester, and BB Williamson are all checked in and enjoying day 1 of the American All Star Weekend in Baton Rouge, LA.

They earned the opportunity to attend this super fun weekend at camp by being chosen as an All Star by our camp instructors.

We’re so proud of them and cannot wait to hear how much fun they have this weekend!! 💙❤️

📊 Scientific Notation in Action!

8th graders in Mrs. Womble’s and Mrs. Ming’s math classes put scientific notation into practice! Students researched five famous people, converted their net worths into standard and scientific notation, and created presentations.

In Mrs. Womble’s class, students participated in “speed dates,” rotating around the room and performing operations using their classmates’ data. In Mrs. Ming’s class, students presented their projects to the class.

A fun way to make math meaningful, collaborative, and engaging! 📊💰
