✨ School Delay/Closure Communications ✨

Please sign up for ParentSquare. ParentSquare will be replacing Remind due to app limitations and updates.

An invitation to join ParentSquare will be going out via email and text. A test message will be sent out Monday morning around 9:00 AM to test ParentSquare communication. This is another form of communication that will go out in the event of a weather related closure/delay.

This past week I had the opportunity to attend the Iowa Association of School Boards BoardCon in Des Moines, held Wednesday through Friday.

It was an energizing experience to connect with fellow board members from across the state, share ideas, and learn from sessions focused on leadership, student success, and strengthening our schools.

I’m grateful for the chance to bring back new insights and strategies to Winfield-Mt. Union. My goal is to keep building on transparency, collaboration, and community pride as we work together for our students, staff, and families.

Thank you to IASB for hosting such a valuable conference—it’s clear that when we invest in learning and leadership, our schools and communities benefit.

Henry County Farm Bureau is offering up to $4,000 in local scholarships, and by completing one application, students will also be considered for the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation’s $2,500 renewable scholarship (up to $10,000).

Eligibility:
Graduating high school senior
Minimum 2.5 GPA
Accepted into an accredited college, community college, or technical school
Applicant or parent must be an Iowa Farm Bureau member
