❤️ A Special Thank You to Preston Lawton ❤️
Today, we want to extend a very special thank you to Preston Lawton of Boy Scout Troop 22 in New Waterford — and one of our very own Columbiana Marching Band members in the euphonium section! 🎶
For his Eagle Scout Project, Preston chose to give back to the Columbiana Marching Band by building a tower on our band practice field. With the help of his family and fellow Scouts from Troop 22, Preston turned his vision into something that will benefit our students for years to come.
But his contribution has gone far beyond the project itself.
Preston has been incredibly active in helping make our practice field a place our students can use, grow, and create music. He has spent countless hours cutting back overgrown areas, mowing, w**d whacking, and helping clean up and maintain the field. His willingness to roll up his sleeves and put in the hard work has made a tremendous difference.
What makes this even more special is that Preston chose to invest his time and talents in something that means so much to him personally. As a marching band member himself, he understands the importance of having a safe, usable place to practice and grow together. His Eagle Scout project will benefit generations of marching band students and leave behind a lasting reminder of service, leadership, teamwork, and giving back to your community.
To Preston, his family, and Troop 22 — thank you for seeing a need and choosing to make a difference. We are incredibly grateful for the time, hard work, and heart you have poured into our band practice field.
Your impact will be felt every time our students step onto that field. 🎺🎵
