ACS POLY student chapter at USC is a professional organization that caters to the polymer and material science community at the University of South Carolina. By providing a forum of like-minded professionals, the goal of this organization is to spread awareness of the responsibilities and challenges of the modern polymer chemist. Our chapter promotes professional networking by hosting talks by the leading researchers in the field.

Our very own Dr. Julia Pribyl was featured in the September 9th issue of C&EN magazine!

Dr. Pribyl graduated from UofSC in December 2018 as a member of the Benicewicz group. She was an active member of Poly/Pmse, serving as chapter president in 2016-2017. We wish Dr. Pribyl the best of luck in her pursuit of an academic position!

ACS Poly/PMSE Student chapter has officially launched the RightCycle Program at the University of South Carolina! We've integrated the program into our university by placing glove recycling boxes in all general and organic chemistry undergraduate labs as well as graduate research labs. The gloves are to be recycled into eco-friendly plastic consumables. We're thrilled to see students and faculty getting involved! Let us know what you think! Special thanks to Kimberly-Clark Professional and VWR for helping us kick-off Green Week!
