What makes NACA valuable right now?
In “Perspective from the Field: The Case for NACA,” longtime NACA volunteer and former Board member Ken Abrahams offers his perspective on why the Association matters in today's higher education environment.
Ken reflects on how the field has changed, the growing demands placed on campus activities professionals, and what makes NACA different. At the center of his argument is NACA's unique ability to bring students, professionals, and industry partners together around learning, connection, and growth.
Ken Abrahams of Fun Enterprises, Inc. attended his first NACA conference in 1979 as a sophomore at Connecticut College. Since then, he has attended more than 300 conferences, written for Campus Activities Programming, and served the Association in numerous volunteer roles, including the NACA Board of Directors.
His challenge to all of us is worth considering: Don't just join NACA. Engage with it.
