The Summer Lunch program is returning to ensure all kids and teens (ages 18 and under) have access to free, nutritious meals Monday through Friday! No registration required.

📅 Dates: June 1 – August 7 (Closed June 19 & July 3)
👥 Who: Anyone aged 18 and younger

Here is where and when you can find meals this summer:
📍 Armory Sports & Recreation Center (Rear parking lot, 701 E. Ash St.) Lunch: Noon – 1:00 p.m. (June 1 – July 31)

Note for groups: Bringing a big group here? Call the WIC office at 573.873.7384 at least a day in advance!

📣 Congratulations to the two John Warner Middle School students receiving John Warner Awards! 🎉

This morning Columbia Police Assistant Chief Lance Bolinger, left, had the honor of presenting the John Warner Award to two outstanding students at John Warner Middle School. This special award is named after John Warner, a respected member of the Columbia Police Department who served for 35 years.

Warner spent 20 of those years working with the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program, where he taught students about the dangers of drug abuse. He also worked as a school resource officer for the district’s middle schools, helping to create safety procedures to make the schools safer.

Warner's dedication to keeping students safe and educated is remembered through this award. The John Warner Award not only honors his hard work but also encourages students to follow his example of service and commitment to the community.
