Summit is a suburban middle school with approximately 1,000 students. We have 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students comprising our AVID class.
Middle school education system which focuses on writing, inquiry, organization, collaboration, and reading to qualify students for a successful life after high school at a college or university.

The generosity and support from AVID families are never-ending. I love my job, not because of gifts and kind gestures, but because of the AVID families and the relationships that are formed!
Sixth graders are so funny! I overheard students talking about a "pop quiz" that they had in science. As they were discussing what a "pop quiz" means, a student states: "Well a pop quiz will popped my grade." LOL

As I finished passing back their from yesterday, it warms my heart to look up and see the students looking over their grades and reading the comments!! Makes my teacher heart happy!! 😊
I ❤️ AVID Students! As we are continuing to build community, students are broken into smaller groups and have to determine the commonalities among each group member. Here's how it began in my 2nd-period class today:
New Student: Well I like Chinese food and my favorite is orange chicken.
Partner (who's been here since day 1): Are you serious right now? That's my favorite too!!

I ❤️AVID students!!
Summit Parkway Middle School supports its community! Transitions Homeless Shelter received a donation of 258 pairs of socks that were collected by our Eagle families. WOW! Thank you to Ms. Clay for spearheading this effort.
