Hawthorne needs regular classroom educators to participate in updating the national norms for the Gifted Evaluation Scale–Fourth Edition (GES-4) and the Adaptive Behavior Evaluation Scale-Third Edition (ABES-3). Renorming assessment instruments is a very important step in identifying students with special needs. It cannot be done without the participation of educators.
How participation works:
• Visit the Hawthorne Educational Services website.
• Choose which assessment instrument and age groups you will rate and submit the form.
• Hawthorne sends you all materials at no cost to you including a return postage label.
• No identifying student information is collected.
• All data is kept confidential and used only to update the normative tables for the instruments.
