It’s been HOT here lately in Columbia, so we’re kicking off our first Kona Ice Friday with a much-needed cool-down treat this Friday, August 28, for elementary and middle school students.

You may have noticed a new friendly face in the car rider line lately! We’re excited to officially introduce Deputy Newton, Clear Dot’s dedicated School Resource Officer through the Richland County Sheriff's Department.

Having a dedicated SRO on campus means more than an added layer of safety. It means another familiar face greeting our students, building relationships, getting to know our families, and becoming part of our school community.

We are incredibly grateful to Sheriff Leon Lott and the Richland County Sheriff's Department for making this partnership possible and for their continued investment in the safety and well-being of our students.

Our New Chapter Begins Monday!!!

From our teachers seeing the new high school campus for the first time in May, to holding our first professional development sessions on campus in July, to welcoming high school families at Open House, each milestone has brought the vision of Clear Dot's High School closer to reality. On Monday, we take the next step as we welcome our high school students to campus for the start of the 2026–2027 school year!
