Ms. Quin’s 4th, 5th, and 6th grade class had an amazing time exploring Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie in Charleston today!

Our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade class will be visiting Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie on Friday! Our students have been learning about the Civil War for months, but they wanted to learn more! That’s when one of our amazing supporters stepped in to help! Mr. Charles Bloom is a SMDP parishioner and retired history teacher. He was kind enough to spend his afternoon with us yesterday helping our students make connections between Fort Sumter, Fort Moultrie, and our history. Our students enjoyed his visit and are excited that he will be joining us on our trip on Friday! His amazing wife, Mrs. Letsie Bloom also visited with us yesterday. She is a frequent volunteer at the school. We appreciate them both !
