Now that Senate Bill 11 is law, we’re breaking down what it does: expanding paid parental leave for eligible state employees, including temporary grant and time-limited positions, increasing paid leave for eligible non-birthing parents, and clarifying leave for families experiencing stillbirth.

Because families deserve time to care, heal, bond, grieve, and adjust without sacrificing their full paycheck.

That’s what progress can look like. 💜

Black women help power our workplaces, families, and communities, and they deserve to be paid fairly for it.

This , we’re naming the wage gap for what it is: a barrier to stability, opportunity, and the ability to build a secure future.

South Carolina can and should do better.

Why did 2 SC women empowerment groups become 1? To make their voices heard in and out of office. Women make up just 14 percent of the SC legislature. It’s one thing two empowerment groups hope to change after combining forces.
