Applications are now open for the 2026-27 Music Teaching Artist Certificate cohort at the University of South Carolina School of Music.

“As MTAC enters its third year, the program continues to advance a conviction central to its mission: that musicians can not only realize their artistry at the highest level but also cultivate curiosity, foster connection and enrich others’ lives through music,” says Professor Hassan Anderson, director of the Music Teaching Artist Certificate program.

The certificate is fully tuition-funded for all admitted participants.

“We invite applications from musicians who feel called to this work and recognize teaching artistry as a powerful intersection of artistic excellence, educational practice and community engagement,” Anderson says.

Apply today — or share this opportunity with an artist whose vision, imagination and generosity would strengthen our growing community.
