Using a simple tubing and water, children in Red class explored the movement of water from one place to another; developing theories, revising ideas and collaborating with peers. This invitation reminds us that rich learning always emerges from meaningful materials and the space to wonder, investigate and construct knowledge together.

Happy end of the school year and congratulations to our elementary and middle school students! Our last couple of weeks have been full of celebration. In our annual Spring Sharing, students performed songs in Spanish; played percussion instruments celebrating samba culture; read original scenes and monologues; showed mastery of ukulele; and displayed fiber artworks. Our Spirit Week themes were a hit—students seemed to especially enjoy Dress Like a Teacher Day. And we took advantage of some beautiful weather to take a full day trip to Stephens Lake Park. Have a wonderful summer, and we’ll see you soon!
