On this day in 1965, The Beatles released Help!—an album that became much more than the soundtrack to a movie.

By this point, Beatlemania had already taken over the world. Fans screamed at every concert, records flew off the shelves, and the band had become global superstars. But behind all the excitement, their music was beginning to change.

Help! introduced timeless songs like "Help!", "Ticket to Ride," and "Yesterday," revealing a more mature and personal side of the band. John Lennon later described "Help!" as one of the first songs where he was honestly expressing how he felt, making it one of The Beatles' most emotionally significant recordings.

Looking back, Help! wasn't just another hit album—it was the bridge between the Beatles the world already loved and the groundbreaking artists they were about to become.

🎤 Our Singer-Songwriter Summer Camp 2026 is officially underway!

What an incredible way to kick off the week! Today, our campers met their instructors, got to know one another, and jumped into their first songwriting and creative sessions as they began bringing their musical ideas to life.

After a productive morning, everyone enjoyed some fresh air with basketball, soccer, and chalk art before heading back to the academy to continue creating posters and album artwork for their projects.

From making music to making new friends, Day 1 was filled with creativity, laughter, and the excitement of what's to come.

This is just the beginning—we can't wait to share more highlights from our campers' journey throughout the week. Stay tuned! 🎶✨

Congratulations to our drum instructor, Nijol, on the release of Marrow with Show Me The Body. After spending the past several months in the studio recording, it's exciting to see the project now being featured on a billboard in New York City.

🎸ROCK HISTORY THURSDAY🎸

On this day in 1971, Queen performed their very first live show with the legendary lineup of Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon.

The performance took place at the University of Surrey in England, where only about 60 people were in attendance. At the time, they were simply four young musicians trying to find their place in the music scene—long before the sold-out stadiums, worldwide fame, and iconic hits.

John Deacon had only recently joined the band after Queen auditioned several bass players in search of the perfect fit. His arrival completed the lineup that would remain together throughout Freddie Mercury's lifetime and go on to create classics like Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, Don't Stop Me Now, and We Are the Champions.

It's incredible to think that one of the greatest bands in rock history began with a small college performance. Every legendary journey starts somewhere—and sometimes, it's the smallest stages that lead to the biggest dreams.
